Simple past

in the simple past, we have two kind of verbs: regular and irregular

regular verb always end in ed

 irregular verbs change.

for questions and negative sentences we use the auxiliary did


exceptions:
1. For verbs that end in "e" only add "-d".
example:
change --- changed
believe-----believed

3. verbs that end in a consonant and a "y" change the "y" with an "i".
example:
study---studied
try----tried
